Dennis Bailey Parks | February 24, 1952 - December 14, 2021

Dennis Bailey Parks left this life to his eternal home with Jesus Christ on December 14, 2021. He was born in Akron Ohio February 24, 1952 to Ernest Bailey Parks and Sara Sue Hudson Parks. He was blessed with cousins that were like his siblings Donald Robinson, Elsie Gallagher, and Rodney Robinson. He loved them all dearly.

He took to be his wife Barbara Jean Williamson to which he shared forty-six and one half blessed years of love and companionship with. To their blessed union was born Stephen Bailey and Jessica Denise. He was so proud of his children. Stephen married the love of his life Kenda Lee and Jessica married the love of her life Benny Hankins.

From the union of his children, he was blessed by Stephen with Gage Parks, Tanner Parks, and Morgan Parks. Jessica blessed him with Dawson Carter, Kristyn Carter, Abigale Carter, Amelia Carter, and Adalynn Hankins. His grandchildren were all a ray of sunshine and his greatest joy.

He retired from Fed Ex freight where he made many friends within the company and during his routes working. A stranger he never knew. He had an infectious smile with a dash of humor.

He had a loving church family at Friendship Baptist Church in Flat Creek. He was a Mason in the Masonic lodge, as his father and grandfather did before him, for forty-six years. He and his wife have been residents of Moore County, Tennessee all their married life.

He will be missed but we all know where he is. After you read this, put a thank you to God in your prayers for his salvation in for me. I loved him so much...Barbara.

His earth suit (as he called it) was cremated. His organs were donated because he would have wished for others to benefit from something he no longer needed.

There will be a celebration of life on January 8, at. 1 pm at Friendship Baptist Church, Hilltop Road, Shelbyville, TN (Flat Creek).

In lieu of flowers, we ask for a charitable donation be sent for his greatest cause. This is what he would have wanted. Send To Farmers Bank (in the division of FirstBank) of Lynchburg, Tennessee to the Dennis Parks Memorial Fund.
