Kenneth was born March 13, 1947 in Desoto, Texas to A.D. Nelson and Alphie Dehart Nelson and passed away Friday January 7,2022 in Bossier City, Louisiana.
Kenneth went to welding school where he meet the love of his life. When he saw her in the class, he was so nervous he had to build up the courage to go and talk to her, and when he did all he could get out was, "nice boots." From there their relationship blossomed into a lifelong love together. They were married for 47 years. If you were to ask anyone, they would tell you that meeting Dean was his proudest moment in his life.
Kenneth had many passions that included welding, fishing, John Wayne, building and anything to do with cowboys. He was so creative when it came to his welding he was always making and building things for family and friends. Kenneth favorite western show to watch was "Gun Smoke." He loved spending time in his yard gardening and building bird houses for Dean. He would have chickens and rabbits in his yard and just enjoyed the nature of the outdoors. He also had one of the biggest, sweet tooth for his chocolate and candies and anything really that he could snack on.
When you ask someone to tell you about Kenneth, they will always say that he has a heart of gold. He was a family man. He loved his wife, children and grandchildren so dearly. If anyone needed to talk, he would be happy to sit and listen, and give some of the greatest advice you probably will ever get. He is going to be greatly missed by his loved ones and anyone who ever got the chance to meet him.
Kenneth is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Malvadean "Dean" Kyles Nelson; sister, Dorothy Hackworth; brother, A.D. Nelson, Jr., Curtis Nelson.
