Obituary
Wagener – Sally Ann Jackson of Wagener, left her earthly home on Friday, January 7, 2022. She is free from all pain and suffering. Sally Ann leaves behind her loving and caring brother, Wyman Jackson of Salley, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Then there is Bubba…Bubba was her lifeline. He was her companion, protector, and best friend.

Sally Ann was preceded in death by her son, Jack Wade Johnson, her mother Martha Jackson, and her grandparents, Mattie and Houston Jackson.

Sally Ann was a lover of nature and the outdoors. She grew up on her Grandparents farm near Pelion, SC where she learned to love the land and the abundance it could bring forth. As a child she roamed the land, finding life from those of times before such as arrow heads and other artifacts. It was here that under the guidance of her Grandparents she learned that the land needed nurturing to bring forth fruit as did anything in life. Sally Ann became a hard worker and attached to farm life. She remained on the farm in later years after marrying and continuing to take care of her grandmother. Her only child was born during these times. Later years as life has a way of changing things, she had to leave the farm and moved to the Wagener area with her son, Wade. But there she continued her love of the outdoors in her garden and flower gardens until she was no longer able to take care of them. Sally Ann later retired from Barton Security where she worked as a security guard.

The family would like to thank Trinity Hospice for the aid in helping care for Sally Ann in these last months.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Clinton United Methodist Church Building Fund.

Graveside service will be held on Sunday, January 9, 2022 at 1:30 p.m. at Wagener Cemetery where she will be laid to rest beside her son Wade Johnson and her grandparents. Rev Fred Andre will be officiating.
