Caroline G. Bennett, 77, of East Peoria died at 8:07 p.m. Monday, Dec. 17, 2007, at Washington Christian Village in Washington.
Born on May 8, 1930, in Forest City, N.C., to William Guy and Bertha Mae Scruggs Blanton, she married Charles E. Bennett on June 20, 1970, in East Peoria. He preceded her in death on April 23, 2007, in Morton, Ill.
Surviving are three sons, Wendell (Jodie) McAbee of McMinnville, Tenn., Clyde McAbee of East Peoria and Robert Washburn of Battle Creek, Mich.; one daughter, Vicki McAbee of Pensacola, Fla.; 18 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one son and five sisters.
Caroline worked as a CNA, most recently for St. Joseph's Home Care in West Peoria and the Proctor Endowment Home in Peoria.
Burial will be in Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria.
