Edward E. Carter, 78, died January 4, 2022 in Fort Pierce, Florida.

Mr. Carter was a lifelong resident of Fort Pierce, Florida.

He was a cattle rancher and previous owner of Best Choice Meats, Fort Pierce and Piggly Wiggly, Fort Pierce.

Edward graduated from Dan McCarty High School, Class of '62, and also attended Indian River Community College. He loved hunting and fishing and was a member of the St. Lucie County Cattleman's Association.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years who passed away a short time later, Nannette Carter; daughter, Michelle (Robert) Carter-Ryan of Fort Pierce, FL; son, Chad Carter of Fort Pierce, FL; grandson, Waylan Carter of Port St. Lucie, FL; nephew, Mark (Kim) Carter; niece, Sharman Colton of Fort Pierce, FL; 3 K-9 companions, Bud, Lucy, and Bella.

He is preceded in death by his mother & stepfather, Margaret & Joe Bearden, and brother, James Carter.
