Dea. John Wesley Greene, Jr. 79 of Cataula, Georgia passed away, Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at his home. John was the oldest son born to the late Maria and John Wesley Greene, Sr.
He was a 1961 graduate of Carver High School, Hamilton, Georgia. He served in the United States Army and retired from Ford Motors in Hapeville, Georgia after 32 years. He was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Fortson, Georgia.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Latonya Greene.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Betty Greene; daughter, Stephanie Greene of Atlanta, Georgia; stepdaughter, Tammy Streeter of College Park, Georgia; son, Bernard Greene of Jonesboro, Georgia; two sisters, Louise Johnson and Agnes Felder (Cornelius) both of Columbus, Georgia; four brothers, Thomas Green of Columbus, Georgia, James Green of Hamilton, Georgia, Otis Green (Sharon) of Denver, Colorado and Curtis Green (Pat) of Sanford, North Carolina; one aunt, Susie Weaver of Hamilton, Georgia; 12 grandchildren, Mario Streeter, Tynisha Streeter, Demonta Streeter and Dimetrius Streeter, Bernard Foster, Larion Downes, Adrian Greene, Quortavious Greene, Dravis Card, Breanna Card, Jeremy McCrimmon and Tamecia McCrimmon; 13 great grandchildren and a host nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
