He worked at GM Truck and Bus for 38 years before retiring, however, he continued to work until late in 2020. Allen was a member of the UAW Local #23 and a faithful member of Harmony Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon for 13 years.
He is survived by his wife: Charlotte Monnett, children: Michelle (Nobel) Taylor, Christine Servies, Jennifer Jefferis and Craig (Amy) Monnett, siblings: Janet Higgenbotham, Rick (Kathy) Land, Judy Parker, Randy Monnett and John (Cindy) Monnett, 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. A Celebration of Life service for Allen will be held Saturday, March 5, 2022, 2:00pm at Harmony Baptist Church, 5693 Broyles Rd, Avon, IN 46123.
Allen will be laid to rest in Bethesda Cemetery, Brownsburg, Indiana 46112.
