ROSENBERG - Robert L. Gully, 78, went forth from this earth peacefully on December 24, 2021 in Rosenberg, Texas. Robert was born in Rowena, Texas to Frank J. and Agnes Gottschalk Gully on July 21, 1943 the youngest of their eight children. He graduated from St. Joseph's High School in Rowena, Texas in 1961. After graduation, he moved to Dallas then on to Austin until finally settling in the Houston area working for Chevron in the security department until his retirement.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Wilbert, Alois, Quentin, and Harvey, and his sister Adeline Fuchs.
He is survived by his brothers Frank A. Gully and Msgr. Bernard L. Gully. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express a special thanks to his faithful caregiver Istmenia Ellis and all those who gave him comfort during his last months. The family would also like to thank all his friends and neighbors at his complex in Meadows Place, Texas for their support and help during his internment over the last few months.
A memorial mass for Robert will be held at a later date.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Robert on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at 10:00am at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rowena. Burial will follow at the St. Joseph Cemetery.
