Mr. Joseph Arthur Hicks, Jr., 63, of Prentiss, Mississippi passed away on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at Jefferson Davis Community Hospital, Prentiss, Mississippi.  He is the son of Mr. Joseph Hicks and the late Yvonne Hicks Magee.  He was a member of Point Pleasant Baptist Church, Mt. Olive, Mississippi where he was a Deacon. Mr. Hicks was a trailer mechanic with Kansas City Southern Railroad.  He loved working with his hands, being outdoors and spending time with family and friends. An avid fan of Alabama Crimson Tide football team he was. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, December 18, 2021 at Ruby K. Johnson Chapel, 1545 Third Street, Prentiss, Mississippi at 11am. Interment will be in Point Pleasant Baptist Church cemetery. He is survived by: wife, Darelynn Hicks of Prentiss, MS; daughter, Talya Morris of Prentiss, MS; grandson, Randy Reese of Houston, TX; sister, Vonretta Singleton of Bay St. Louis, MS; mother-in-law, Russia Barnes of Mt. Olive, MS. Visitation will be Friday, December 17, 2021 at Johnson Funeral Home, 1-7pm and Saturday at the chapel, 10-11am.
