Pauline was the youngest child born to John Robert and Annie Miles Ledbetter. Her mother died when she was very young and her father married again soon after. Pauline left her Verona home at age 16 to marry an older "railroad man", Moses Norris. They married April 6,1930, in South Carolina. After living in a South Carolina boarding house for a while, the young couple returned to his native Warren County, GA. Pauline was homesick and they moved to Lee County. in early 1933.

Mr. John Ledbetter owned and operated Ledbetter's Cafe in downtown Tupelo; one of Pauline's sisters owned and operated a boarding house in Tupelo for a number of yearrs. Pauline, herself, was hostess at Calvary Church for many years. Even through chemo treatments, she cooked their weekly Wednesday night Family Dinners and also cooked or catered for numerous special occasions.

She passed away July 26,1987, after a lengthy battle with colon cancer. She left behin her husband of 57 years, Moses Norries; 6 living children, 14 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. She was also survivedx by a half sister, Kathryn Dye. Shw was preceded in death by her beloved son, Thomas Wayne Norris.
