A Cox's Creek resident, Mrs. Jacqueline Lucille "Jackie" Houston, age 70, passed away Sunday, December 26, 2021 in Nelson County from an automobile accident. She was born on November 16, 1951 in Portsmith, Ohio to the late Jack and Francis Carpenter Vogel.
Jackie was a former employee of Birmingham Metal Products, loved her grandchildren, cooking and the holidays.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Bobby Gene Vogel, Chuck Vogel, Kenny Vogel, a sister, Deanna Vogel, and a granddaughter, Makalyn Rae Hill.
Jackie is survived by her husband Randy Houston, daughter, Susan Houston (Maxwell Hardin) of Springfield, a son, Randy A. (Heather) Houston of Louisville, 5 grandchildren Kelsey Houston (Joe Johnson III), Hailey Houston, Conner Hill, Reese Houston, Denton Byrd, 1 great-grandchild Joe Johnson IV, along with several nieces and nephews she loved like her own.
The funeral service for Mrs. Jackie Houston will be 1:00pm, Thursday, December 30, 2021 at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home with cremation to follow the service. Visitation will be Thursday from 10:00am-1:00pm at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home 1475 New Shepherdsville Road, who is in charge of arrangements.
