Jimmy Duane Guy Collins, affectionately known as "JD" age 37 of Sedalia, Missouri, passed away Friday, December 17, 2021 in Morgan County, Missouri. JD was born in Sedalia, Missouri to Jimmy and Lesia Collins. JD graduated from Warsaw High School in 2004.

In 2008 JD enlisted in the Marines, by July of 2008 he had graduated basic training at Camp Pendleton California. JD was then sent to Okinawa, then Afghanistan and eventually, a short term in Korea where he helped to build a school. JD then came home to work as an over the road, long haul truck driver, painter and carpenter. He also attended State Fair Community College. Most of all, JD loved his country and was very proud of being a Marine.

JD had an infectious smile, and always a twinkle in his eyes. In his spare time, you could likely always find JD outside in nature. An avid duck hunter and fisherman, JD also enjoyed Kayaking and boating… even surfing. Always adventurous, JD loved to ride 4 wheelers and especially loved to take long rides on his beloved Harley Motorcycle.

JD is preceded in death by his grandfather Jim Claire Collins, grandmothers; Sarah Annabelle Davis and Bertha Mae Colbert, aunt Clara Marie Pettross and cousin T.W. Collins, along with many other family members.

JD is survived by his companion in life; Letecia FaeMarie Hart. JD is also survived by his father Jim Collins, mother Lesia Collins and Bill Swigert, a sister Crystal Kinney, brother, Tommy Collins, nieces Brittany, Courtney, Destany and Armany as well as nephews Dakota and Anthany. Being such a gentle soul, JD also has many, many friends and family across the world. JD will be greatly missed by his family and friends as well as his fellow Marines.

A Memorial Service for "JD" Jimmy Duane Guy Collins, will be held on January 9, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at the American Legion Hall located at 32739 Wildcat Drive in Warsaw, Missouri. All that knew and loved JD are encouraged to come out and celebrate his life, remember him and reminisce… say goodbye to this amazing man whom was a friend, son, a brother, an uncle, a cousin and most importantly, a United States Marine. "If they are remembered, they're not gone truly, they've simply changed duty assignments, and are now among our best."
