Mary Katherine Atkins Pace died on January 5, 2022, at her home.
A graduate of the University of Chattanooga, where she was a member of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority, she was retired from the Hamilton County Department of Education as a teacher and school librarian. She was a founding member and a past president of Alpha Xi chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma, International Honorary Teacher's Society.
A third generation member of The First Presbyterian Church, she was active in the Poindexter Class.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Katherine Drake and Vernon Thomas Atkins, and her husband of 56 years, Morton Leland Pace.
Graveside services were held at Chattanooga National Cemetery on January 11, 2022.
