Michael Eugene Harvey, 67, passed away at his home on Thursday, December 30, 2021. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, January 6, 2022 at McLaren's Resthaven Chapel in West Des Moines with visitation from 1 p.m. until service time at McLaren's. Burial will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery in Des Moines.

Mike was born September 14, 1954 in Aurora, CO to Hugh and Barbara (Giles) Harvey. He was an Ankeny High School Class of 1973 graduate. Mike worked as a truck driver most of his life, most recently for Don's Pickup and Delivery and Davis Equipment. He enjoyed watching sports: mainly baseball, Hawkeye Football and the Kansas City Chiefs. Mike also loved gardening, bird watching, reading his bible, fishing, and had a love for animals (both wild and domestic).

Mike is survived by three children, April (Chad) Van Horn, Robin James, and Caleb Harvey; grandchildren, Deja Crain and Taylor Adam; siblings, Theresa (Richard) Gregg, Jerry (Carol), George (Jackie), Doug (Carol), Tasha (Alonzo) Garcia and Robert Rosendahl; several nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Hugh and Barbara Harvey.
