Margaret Jane (Harrington) Robertson, age 91, of Ottumwa, IA passed away at her home at Pennsylvania Place on Wednesday, January 5, 2022.
She was born in Ottumwa on November 4, 1930, to C. Earl and Nona (Freitag) Harrington. She was a member of the Ottumwa High School Class of 1948. She attended nursing school at the University of Iowa.
Margaret married Donald K. Robertson on November 10, 1958. She worked as a nurse at Ottumwa Hospital, for the SE Iowa Blood Bank, and at various medical clinics, retiring from Internal Medicine. She was a faithful member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Ottumwa since 1954, and was a member of Ottumwa Women's Club and P.E.O.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Don on September 22, 2006, and a brother-in-law and sister, Bob and Delores Kauffman.
Margaret is survived by her stepdaughter, Vicki (Jim) Baty of Moravia, IA, stepgrandsons Jim (Julie) Baty II of Mt. Vernon, IA and John (Stacy) Baty of Moravia, and six great-grandchildren: Trevor, Trenton, Tessa, Sydney, Zane, and Spencer Baty. She is also survived by a nephew, Steven and a niece, Rebecca.
As per her wishes, cremation has been accorded and there will be no services at this time. A private family graveside service will take place later this Spring at Ottumwa Cemetery.
