Joe L. Garcia was born on October 7, 1951 in Plainview, Texas to Salomon and Olivia Garcia. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps. Joe married Zulma Galeas and had three daughters, Natalia Garcia, Elisabeth Garcia and Julissa Canales. He devoted many years taking care of his mother before she passed in 2004. He enjoyed working on his truck and spending time with his daughters. On the weekends he worked at the Lubbock Heart Hospital as a radiologist, where he worked for 15 years.
He is also survived by three brothers; Gilbert Garcia, Leo Garcia and Rudy Garcia and two sisters Sylvia Barrera and Esther Flores.
Joe is preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters; Beatrice Garcia and Margie Hipolito.
