Ruth White, age 80, of Fenwick, passed away at her home on Wednesday, January 5, 2022.
Ruth loved helping and taking care of people, something she did as a nurse's aide, mom, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She also enjoyed cooking, knitting, traveling, camping, and visiting with her friends. However, most of all, Ruth loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving Ruth are her daughters, Patty (Jeff) VanderSloot of Gowen, Norma Jean Baker of Greenville, Lori (Dallas) Collins of Fenwick, and Carrie Campbell of Greenville; 11 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Dorothy Simpson of Arizona; and brothers-in-law, Jerry Shoen of Florida and Leo White of Arkansas.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, William & Beatrice (Baldwin) Haughey; husband, Norman White; son, John White; four sisters; two brothers; and her parents-in-law.
Ruth's life is being celebrated on Monday, January 10th at the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Sheridan (246 S. Main St.). Visitation will be from 10 to 11 AM. A memorial service will begin at 11 AM with Pastor Martin Ross officiating.
