Charles C. Rompel, 68, of 3418 Powell, died at 9:10 a.m. Tuesday in Kentucky Baptist Hospital. He was a retired inspector for Reynolds Metals Plant No. 1. Surviving are his wife, the former Ruth Latham; two daughters, Mrs. Joyce Kilgore, of Gravette, Ark., and Mrs. Betty Odell; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Marcia Schmiedt; nine grandchildren and six greatgrandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Arch L. Heady Southern Funeral Home, 3601 Taylor Blvd. Burial will be in Rest-haven Memorial Park. The body will be at the funeral home after noon Wednesday.
