Vivian Corinthia Williams, 78 of Charleston, graciously transitioned from her earthly tabernacle to her heavenly home on December 30, 2021, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on April 19, 1943 to the late Rubin Thomas Desper and Edna Burton Desper in Charleston.

Vivian was employed by CAMC as a heart monitor technician and then later retired from the Kanawha County Board of Education. She was an active member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church and served as an usher, choir member and feeding people in need; she was always willing to help. She was also a member of the WV Mass Choir

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Aaron Williams, Jr.; son, James Edward Bennett, Jr.; granddaughter, Devin Bennett; brothers, Paul, David, Thomas and Joseph Desper; sisters, Betsy Virginia Desper and Martha Desper Lawson.

Vivian is survived by her sons, David Bennett (Kay) and Harry Joseph Bennett; daughter, April Williams; grandchildren, Cherelle Bennett, James Bennett III, David Bennett, Jr., Devon Bennett, Harry Joseph Bennett, Jr., Jeff Brandon III; a host of great-grandchildren; and her sisters, Edna Desper Barbee and Betty Desper Williamson.

A going home service will be held at 12 p.m. on Saturday, January 8, at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, Charleston with Pastor Marlin C. Collins officiating. Burial will be in Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery.

Friends may visit one hour prior to the service at the church.

Arrangements are in the care of Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
