Gerald "Jerry" Thomas,68, of Troy, MO, formerly of Mexico, MO, passed away on December 23, 2021 at his home. He was born on August 5, 1953 in El Paso, Texas. Jerry attended the local schools in Mexico, MO along with his siblings. He met the love of his life, Karen (Dollens) on a double date and they saw the movie "Love Story". They were married on September 21, 1974 at the Centennial Baptist Church in Mexico, MO. To this union were born two boys, Kelly and Tracy. Jerry worked for AP Greens as a brick setter for 30 years. Jerry was the kind of employee , that came in early and stayed until the job was done. He went on to work at the Wal Mart distribution center as a computer tech for 17 years, until he retired there. Jerry was always full of energy and enjoyed having projects to tackle. He loved to fish and watch Motocross. His favorite thing was being a full-time Papa to his grandchildren and spending time with his wife and children. Jerry will be sadly missed and long remembered by all those who knew and loved him.

Jerry was preceded in death by his father, Joe Thomas.
