Charles Leroy Adams, age 84, passed away at his home in Stillwater on Tuesday, January 4, 2022, with his wife Nita by his side.
Charles was born September 15, 1937, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma to Harold Louis and Thelma Irene (Burchett) Adams. He grew up in Bartlesville and graduated from College High School in 1955. Charles joined the United States Navy right after graduation and served his country for six years. He and Nita Briggs were married on September 5, 1962, in Lenora, Oklahoma. They were blessed with 59 years together.
Charles worked for Boersma Beverage Distributing here in Stillwater for 40 years. He made many wonderful friends while out on his route. After his retirement he worked at Lowes for several years in receiving.
Outside of his family, Charles enjoyed watching all kinds of sports. One of the last things he got to do was watch his OSU Cowboys win the New Year's Day Fiesta Bowl at home in his recliner with his wife.
Survivors include his wife Nita of the home; two children, Stefanie Elliott and husband Steven of Fanshaw, OK, and Chad Louis Adams and wife Kathleen of Burke, VA; two sisters, Donna Kelly of Bartlesville, OK, and Joyce Ralph of Owasso, OK; grandchildren, Brittan Tatum (Theron) of Tulsa, Hailey Woodall of Stigler, Logan Elliott of Bennington, Nikki Adams of Tahlequah, OK, Kaden Adams, Ethan Adams, Riley Adams, and Connor Adams all of Burke, VA; great-grandchildren, Parker Raines, Woody Woodall, Arrianna Elliott, and Grayson Elliott; other extended family and close friends.
