Christopher Michael Cobb, of Waymart, was granted his angel wings on June 19, 2012, following a lifelong illness. His life was spent surrounded by his family, that Christopher had touched in some small way throughout his short, yet very memorable life.

Christopher was born August 8, 1994, in Scranton, son of Jefferson and Faith Cobb Phillips. Christopher's life would seem too short to many, but for those who were touched by him, understood that the quality of existence far exceeds quantity of time in which you live it. His gentle smile could melt the hearts of those around him and though he never spoke a word, his voice and thoughts could always be heard. Although Christopher's illness made him appear frail, he possessed strength, perseverance, the ability to overcome incredible odds. With the unconditional love and attention of his parents, he led us to believe that each day is a blessing and an opportunity to create lasting memories. With Christopher's passing we remind others that his life is one to be celebrated, although we will miss him every day, especially his winning smile, he will always remain forever in our hearts. Through his teachings about life, we were able to create wonderful memories and it has been a privilege to be his parents. We are so thankful Christopher's brother, Michael, will hold dear the memory of Christopher's gentle spirit.

Also surviving are a brother, Michael; maternal grandparents, Raymond and Mary Ann Cobb of Carbondale; paternal grandfather, William Miller of Rome, Pa.; aunts and uncles, Cindy and Jerry McDermott; Raymond Cobb Jr. and Monique; Beth and Mike Cusimano; Chuck Phillips, Katie Miller and Joseph Miller; and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Judy Phillips.
