He was born June 11, 1939 in Brilliant, a son of the late Martin J. "Dubie" and Eleanor (Kerwood) Barrett. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Michael Barrett and Martin J. "Jim" Barrett, Jr.
Bob served his country and retired after serving 20 plus years in the U.S. Air Force. He was a decorated Veteran serving during Vietnam. After serving our country he was a painter in Brilliant for 20 years.
Surviving are three children, Kim (Troy) Zimmerman of Cambridge, OH, Robert (Sheryl) Barrett, Jr. of Clearwater, FL and Carol (Mike) Germino of Weeki Watchee, FL; ten grandchildren; and an abundance of great-grandchildren.
He loved his children and grandchildren and will be missed by all that he touched in his life.
Graveside services will take place at the New Alexandria Cemetery on Tuesday January 18th at 10:00 a.m. with Military Honors by the Ohio Valley Veterans Memorial Squad.
