Mary Ann Long, 61, a resident of Ruth, died at Mississippi Baptist Hospital in Jackson on Monday, January 3, 2022.
She was born October 13, 1960 in New Orleans, Louisiana. She was the daughter of the late Reverend Charles E. and Mary Louise Duncan Brister.
She was a 911 dispatcher and a member of Summit Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her grandparents, Charles Brister, Sr. and Pauline Brister and James and Lorena Duncan.
Ms. Long is survived by one daughter, Angela Long of Ruth, MS; one sister, Charlene Shaw of Liberty, MS.
Pallbearers will be Harold Woodall, Buddy Nelson, Gene VanNorman, William Harris, Rodney Shaw and Jeremy Shaw.
Visitation will be held Saturday, January 8, 2022 from 9:00 AM until funeral service at 11:00 AM at Hartman Jones Funeral Home. The Reverend Diane Woodall will officiate. Burial will be in Felders Campground Cemetery with Hartman-Jones Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
