Joseph E. Tindall, 72, of Herrin, formerly of Royalton, passed away 7:04 p.m. Friday, December 31, 2021 at SIH Herrin Hospital in Herrin.
Joseph retired from the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Marion.
Joseph was a veteran of the U. S. Navy during the Vietnam War and a former member of the American Legion Post in Marion.
Joseph was born June 1, 1949 in Perry County, Illinois to Ernest and Rose (Royster) Tindall.
Surviving are his 3 sons, Henry of Herrin, Gene of Herrin, IL and Eric of Marion; four grandchildren and a brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Joyce of North Carolina.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Pearson Tindall.
In honoring Joseph wishes, he will be cremated and there are no services scheduled at this time.
