Son of Jessie Burrell Rickman and Mont V Rickman. He served for two years in the U.S. Army and returned home to work as a mechanic. He was a deacon at several different churches for most of his life. He helped to build many churches and fellowship halls in the area. He was a successful entrepreneur, owning Acme Lumber Company, building houses, and served on the board of directors at a local bank. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Henry Rickman, Benny Rickman, Mont Dean Rickman; and sister-in-law, Margarea Rickman. Survivors include his wife of 71 years, Mimi Cantrell Rickman; daughter, Cindy Fuglio (Marc); sons, Don Rickman (Kathy) and Greg Rickman (Brenda); brothers, Gene Rickman and Paul Rickman (Barbara); sisters-in-law, Linda Rickman and Janie Rickman; seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
