Martha Martin passed away Friday, December 31, 2021, with her family by her side at a Fort Worth hospital with complications from COPD.

Funeral Services: 2 PM Thursday, January 6, 2022, at Lake Shore Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. David Stinson is officiating. Burial will follow at Gholson Cemetery.

Visitation will be one hour before the service.

Martha was born April 4, 1942, in Waco to Robert Elton Watkins and Lois Maurine (Watkins) Cook. She married Kenneth Earl Martin in 1960. They lived the first part of their married life in the Ft. Worth area and moved back to Waco in 1975. Together they had three children, Robin, Kevin, and Michael.

Martha was mainly a wife, stay-at-home mom, and homemaker. A couple of her favorite things are singing karaoke and playing bingo with family and friends. She loved her family very much. Her favorite joy was watching the antics of her two youngest great-grandsons, Levi and Jaxon. They put a smile on her face and kept her laughing at things they would say and things they would get into. It saddened her heart that she didn't meet the newest great-grandson, Rhyder, because of her illness and COVID restrictions. Martha was a very feisty person. She said what she thought pretty often, but those who knew her well loved her anyway and laughed with her.

Martha was preceded in death by her father, Robert Watkins; mother, Lois Cook; sisters, Rebecca Carter and Diana Royal; and grandson, Corey Stinson.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Kenneth Martin of Godley, TX, formerly of Waco; children, Robin Stinson and husband David of Gholson, Kevin Martin and wife Jeanie of Elm Mott, and Michael Martin of Bellmead; grandkids, David Wayne Stinson and wife Andrea of Moody, Russell Stinson and wife Chrissy of Gholson, Jaime Stinson of Gholson, Nicole Holder and husband Thomas of Elm Mott, Brandon Martin, Keith Martin, and Kenneth Martin, all of Elm Mott; great-grandkids, Leea Stinson, Hayden Stinson, Caleb Stinson, Levi Stinson, Jaxon Butler, Rhyder Holder, Trevor Christian, and wife Nichole; and many nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be David Wayne Stinson, Russell Stinson, Jaime Stinson, Brandon Martin, Keith Martin, and Kenneth Martin.

A very special thank you to sister-in-law, Gail Bemethy; niece, Nicole Martin; and brother-in-law, Bob Martin, for going above and beyond for Martha and Kenneth during her lengthy illness.
