James "J.E." Dawson, 82, of Mountainburg, AR passed away on Monday January 3, 2022 in his home.
J.E. was born November 30 1939 in Cleveland OK to the late G.E. and Effie (Patrick) Dawson.
He was a Station Agent for Frontier Airlines, an employee of Baldor Electric and of the Baptist Faith. He was a country boy who loved his horses and to garden and especially loved spending time with his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, Brad Dawson and sisters, Stella, Ella and Norma.
Survivors include his wife, Marijo Dawson of the home; daughter, Kelly Keener and husband Keith of Alma, AR; son, Greg Dawson and wife Vickie of Natural Dam, AR; Sister Ila Almy; Grandchildren, Ryan, Jake, Zak, Michael, Matt and Kate; 11 Great Grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 7, 2022 at Ocker Chapel of Alma with interment in Pope Cemetery under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma.
Pallbearers will be Zak Dawson, Matt Dawson, Ryan Atwell, Jake Dawson, Michael Dawson, Keith Keener and Greg Dawson.
