Sue was preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles C. Cowart.
She is survived by her daughters: Jeanmarie C. Fogleman (J. Barton) of Bella Vista, AR; and Karen C. Sanders (Kyle) of Collierville, TN. Also surviving her are her five grandchildren: Carmen F. Teague (Brian)of Jonesboro, AR; Megan F. Patterson (Jordan) of Cave Springs, AR; Jenna F. Saifi (Scott)of Springdale, AR; W. Kyle Sanders (Madison)of Knoxville, TN; and Chaz S. Crenshaw (Michael)of Hernando, MS; eight great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter. She is also survived by three sisters; Shelby Jean Berry of Paragould; Paulette Zang (Bill) of Cypress, TX; Diane Moore or Katy, Texas and also two brothers: Cecil Jones (Doris) of Royal, AR; and Danny Jones (Renee) of Katy, TX.
Sue was born to Oscar and Marie Cook Jones in Jonesboro, AR, on October 15, 1933. She was raised in Jonesboro where she met her loving husband of over 50 years, Charles. Sue and Charles loved to travel, go antiquing, and spend time at their "Lake House", being with family and dear friends, and just being together.
She was an accomplished pianist and organist beginning from a very young age playing for churches. She entertained the other residents at her home in Village on the Park, Bentonville, AR, and Morningside of Jonesboro, AR. Sue was an avid reader and creative seamstress. She dedicated her time to her church where she was a very active choir member and loved being a part of Bible Study Fellowship.
A graveside service will be held to celebrate her life at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens 3700 N. Germantown Road in Bartlett, Tennessee on Wednesday January 5, 2022 at 2:00 pm. Visitation will be immediately prior at 1:00 pm.
