Steven Thomas Bray, 39, of Owensville, Mo., passed away Saturday, Jan. 1, 2022, at Capital Region Hospital in Jefferson City.

He was born Feb. 13, 1982, to Thomas James Morris and Cynthia Lee Bray in Washington.

Steven enjoyed going to the river, baling hay, mud runs, working in his garage and working on tractors.

He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Morris; grandfathers, Richard Bray Sr. and Randy Sunfield; and grandmother, Donna Newman.

He is survived by his mother, Cynthia Gray and husband Ricky of Owensville; grandfather, Paul Newman of Bland; grandmother, Barbara Sunfield of New Haven; sister, Stephanie Gray of Owensville; aunts and uncles, Richard and Marla Bray of Owensville, Debra and Al Woodcock of Sullivan and James Bray of St. Clair; nieces, Natalie Gray and Sophia Beard both of Owensville; nephew, Nathaniel Gray of Owensville; and cousins, Derick and Amanda Bray of Pacific and Tiffany and James Hardin of Owensville.

Visitation will be Sunday, Jan. 9 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Gottenstroeter Chapel in Owensville.

Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the chapel with Rev. Kevin Sullivan officiating. Burial will be in Countryside Memorials Gardens in Owensville.
