Kathy Sue Smith, 61, of Poplar Bluff, MO passed away on December 07, 2021.

Kathy was born on September 01, 1960, to Ivan and Golden (Edwards) Wagner in Danville Illinois.

Kathy enjoyed playing bingo and completing word search puzzles. Her biggest joy in life was her grandkids. She will be dearly missed by her family and all of her friends at the sheltered workshop and Cedargate Healthcare.

Kathy will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Melvin Smith; daughter, Rebecca (Kurtis) Elders of Fort Worth, Texas; sisters, Jeanette Milton of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, Susan Leppard of Hoopeston, Illinois; brother, Terry Creamer of Pikeville, Tennessee; three grandchildren, Katelin Elders of Columbia, Tennessee, Megan and Patrick Elders of Fort Worth, Texas; along with numerous extended family and friends.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents; five sisters, Sharon, Patricia, Vera, Helen, and Shirley; and one brother, Tommy.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 08, 2021, from 10:00-11:00am at Willow Ridge Funeral & Cremation Services with funeral service to follow beginning at 11:00am. Inurnment will take place at Floral Hill Cemetery in Hoopeston, Illinois at a later date.

The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at Cedargate for their care and compassion.
