George was a member of Central United Methodist Church. He was a loving father and grandfather.
George was a retired computer specialist and a talented writer having two of his works published.
Preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Peggy Selvidge Scott; parents, George W. Scott, Sr. and Lavada Scott.
George is survived by his son, Marcus Scott; grandchildren: Trey, Bella and Emily Scott; sisters, Jean Potter and Wanda Walton; brother, Kenneth Scott along with several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, January 5th at Central United Methodist Church. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. Scott Layer and Rev. Audrey Madigan officiating. Family and friends will gather at 11 a.m. on Thursday for graveside services in the Lakeview Cemetery.
