02/04/1943 - 12/18/2021 Peggy L. Moore passed away December 18, 2021, after a lengthy illness. She was born Peggy Lorene Hoover on February 4, 1943, in San Bernardino, California. Peggy was the youngest child and only daughter of Edwin D. Hoover and Myrtle McConnell Hoover. As a young child, she took dance lessons and loved performing. Peggy attended Highland Junior High and Pacific High School. She was, in her words, an ambitious student who made good grades, loved her English, Spanish, and typing classes, and wanted to be an English teacher. When Peggy was fourteen, she met Dick Moore, who was then a boxboy at Paul's Market. After Peggy's high school graduation in June of 1960, she went to work as a clerk-typist in the information booth at the San Bernardino County Courthouse. In September of that year, Peggy and Dick were married at Calvary Baptist Church in San Bernardino. Upon their marriage, Dick and Peggy moved to Dick's hometown of Redlands, where both lived for the remainder of their lives
