Johnny "PaPa" Lee Green passed away Thursday, December 30th, 2021 at Holdenville General Hospital in Holdenville at the age of 82.

Johnny was born September 4th, 1939 in Lamar, Oklahoma to Bert and Pearl Green. He graduated from Holdenville High School. Johnny married Jessie Yvonne McCoin June 6, 1958 in Holdenville. He retired from Holdenville Public Schools as the Transportation Director. Johnny also worked as a mechanic for B & M Motors and Perry Ford. He proudly served in the National Guard for 10 years and was a Staff Sargent Medic and Tank Commander. Johnny enjoyed shoeing horses, Atlanta Braves, OU sports, OKC Thunder, raising Hereford cattle and horses. He attended Banner Baptist in Horntown and recently was attending Capital Heights.

Johnny is preceded in death by his parents and 11 siblings. He is survived by his wife Yvonne "Nana" of the home, daughters; Rhonda Hatfield and husband Doug of Chumuckla, FL, Lori Smith and husband Chris of Holdenville, grandchildren; Joshua Bruner and wife Rachael, Jamie Sherrell and husband Jay, Brooke Arthur, Kade Smith, great grandchildren; Annsley Bruner, Talon Bruner, brother Bertis Green of Del City and brother-in-law, Bill McCoin. Johnny is survived by numerous other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers are Kade Smith, Chris Smith, Doug Hatfield, Todd Hignite, Dr Mike Glass, and Jay Sherrell. Honorary pallbearers are Robert Smith, Troy Rogers, Jarvis Crawford, Larry Miller, Butch Rawls and Brownie Harjo.

Viewing will be 1:00pm-5:00pm Sunday, Jan 2nd and 9:00am-7:00pm Monday, Jan 3rd at Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be 11:00am Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mack Peercy officiating and assisted by Brother Jim Crawford.

Interment will follow at Holdenville Cemetery.

Services are under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home, Holdenville, Oklahoma.
