Amy Lynn Armstrong, 57, of Mount Holly, passed away on Sunday, January 2, 2022 at Caromont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia. She was born in Gaston County to the late Ralph Armstrong and Edith Lucille Rick Armstrong.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Mark Armstrong. Amy was a loving spouse, mother, and grandmother.

She was the most selfless person, always wanting to give, and help others. Amy had a love for animals like none other. She would rescue and nurture any type of animal. She was like a mother to her nieces and nephews, especially Demi, who like Amy, had a love for animals. Her sister Debra considered Amy as her very best friend.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Harold Holloway; her children, Cody Holloway (Kim), Ira Holloway (Christy), Cara Cobb (Buddy), Crystal Price (Sam) and Holly Calaway (Kim); her sister, Debra Walden (Trent); grandchildren, Corey and Luke Holloway, Chris, Nick, and Conner Cobb, and Sam and Samantha Price; great grandson, Calum Cobb; nieces and nephews, Demi and Abby, and Demarcus, Brent and Travis; and her fury companion, Bouncer.

A graveside service to celebrate her life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at Pineview Cemetery in Mount Holly. Arrangements are in the care of Woodlawn Funeral Home in Mount Holly.
