Martha Murphy, 89, of Mt. Washington, returned to the Lord on Sunday, January 2, 2022 at her home. She was the former Martha Nelson, a retired accountant for Bituminous Insurance Agency, and a member of Riverview Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ralph Murphy; her parents, Theodore and Virginia Nelson; and her brother, Theodore Nelson. She is survived by her dauMghter, Virginia Ann "Gin" Wyatt; one grandson, Tommy Wyatt and his wife Stacey; along with four great grandchildren, Coty and Thomas Wyatt, Aaron and Megan Lakes; and two great-great grandchildren, Kyleigh and Caleb Lakes. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, January 6, 2022 at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home with burial in Highland Memory Gardens.
