Vanessa Lynn Taylor passed away peacefully on December 25, 2021 at the age of 55. A longtime resident of Bridgeport, Connecticut she was born on January 16, 1966 to Isadore and Dorothy Taylor. She was educated in the Bridgeport school system and attended Cosmetology school. She worked in the nursing field for most of her life.

Vanessa who was affectionally known as Mema to her grandchildren, Aunt Nessie to her nieces and nephews, was famous for her potato salad, laughter and outgoing personality. She was also a big New England Patriots fan and loved watching the Superbowl with her family. She was a giving person anything she had you had. She was well-received by those she knew or encountered. Her family loved her, she loved her family, and most importantly she loved God.

Vanessa leaves behind to cherish her memory her two daughters Latasha Harp and Shante Pettway of Connecticut. Son in-law Roberto Harp. Her grandchildren Nazir Harp, Angel Smith, Jibri Harp, Jamir Small, Ayaan Harp, Yaqin Harp, and Jasir Small. Her father Isadore Taylor. Her sisters Sabrina Rahman, Cheryl Taylor, Pamela Taylor, Denise Monroe, Tahiyyah Taylor and her brother Kym Taylor. Vanessa was predeceased by her mother Dorothy Taylor. She also leaves behind thirteen nieces and nephews. A host of great nieces and nephews as well as special friends.
