Sibling of:Maria, Bridget, Michael and Ellen Malone.
Husband of: Susanna (Beard) Malone,
married October 28, 1875, in Greene County, Ohio.
Father of: Alva Earnest, Luella, Edna B., Charles B., Earl, Roy, Raymond & Lawrence Wesley Malone.
May have been the father of Kathrine Belle Malone-Strickle.
Although descendants always told me that John Malone was "Katie's" father ... local records of the time period indicate that he may have been her step-father instead. (See birth record for "Katie" b. 16 Jan. 1872, Greene Co., OH; and Obituary for John Malone in "The Xenia Daily Gazette", Nov. 1, 1915.) KJ
According to John Malone's death certificate, and his obituary in "The Xenia Daily Gazette", Monday Nov. 1, 1915, he was buried in Bellbrook Cemetery (Greene Co., OH), which is a totally different cemetery.
I'm not sure why there is a gravestone for him, beside his wife's gravestone, in the Spring Valley Cemetery. Maybe he was re-interred at a later date. KJ
