Gary Cunningham, 79, died Sunday January 2, 2022 at his home in Altoona.
Graveside services will be 1 pm Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at Altoona Cemetery. There will be a Celebration of Gary's Life scheduled at a later date.
Gary was born October 17, 1942 in Des Moines to Russell and Agnes (Jacobson) Cunningham.
He attended East High School and served in the Army during the Vietnam War.
Gary retired from Firestone after 20 years of service.
He enjoyed fishing, playing cribbage and cards, watching Yellowstone on Sundays with family and friends. Gary especially loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Gary was preceded in death by his son, Travis Cunningham; parents; step-father, Ray Marshall; brothers: Gaylord, Calvin, Roger Cunningham; sister-in-law, Sue Cunningham.
Memorial contributions may be made to Cornerstone Baptist Church.
