Dolly Stevens, age 78, went to be with her Lord and Savior on December 30, 2021.

Dolly was born on July 1, 1943, at home, in Glenwood, IN, the daughter of the late Mary Mays and Farris H. Neeley.

She had retired from Rush Memorial Hospital in November 2008 due to her health. She also had worked at Fayette Memorial Hospital from 1980 to 2002 as a CNA, LPN, and RN, as well a motor route carrier for the Connersville News Examiner for several years.

Her greatest joy was being with her great granddaughters, Jocelyn and Taylynn Ford, whom she had guardianship in their younger years. She enjoyed watching true crime stories on tv, crocheting, crossword puzzles and find a word puzzles.

Dolly is survived by her daughter, Joy Stevens and son Bill Stevens, Jr, of Connersville; grandchildren Tierra (Cody Tipton) Harrison, whom she raised, Destiny Stevens, David Stevens, Tiffany Stevens, and Cierra Manning all of Connersville, Jama Dixon and Jasmine Poe of Shelbyville, Michael Stevens, Matthew Stevens and Samantha Pollitt of Creighton, KY: several great grandchildren: nieces and nephews, Lester (Mary) Poe, Mary Baker, Gloria (John) Meadows, Leslie (Jay) Rowe, Angela Mae Poe, Cindy (Tom) Handy, Charles "Chuck (Shawnell) Poe, Lora Lee (Jerry) Hines all of Connersville, Shanon Neeley of Greenfield, and Missie (Steve) Bever of Markleville, IN.

She is preceded in death by her parents, best friend and husband Bill Stevens, Sr., newborn daughter Teresa Stevens, newborn son, Michael Stevens; four sisters, Udell, Phillips Mary "Isabell" Poe, Juanita "Sue" Williams and an infant sister Ruth Ann Neeley; four brothers, Bill Reece, Edward Todd, Lester Neeley, and Sherman"Willias" Neeley; nephews, Carl Poe and Joe Todd; several aunts and uncles including a very special Aunt, Laura Neeley; and a daughter in law Sheila Hammonds Stevens.

Friends and family may gather at Urban Winkler Funeral Home on Saturday January 8, 2022 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Services will follow at 1:00 pm with Rev. Jerry Hines and Pastor Chris Lovett officiating.
