David Earl Evans was born to Claud and Tressie (Booth0 Evans on February 13. 1943 at Sterling, Ok. he departed this life on December 29, 2021 at his home in Moore, Ok. David attended school at Sterling High School. David entered the U.S. Navy on November 4, 1960. He served his Country for the next (20) years receiving the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, (2) Vietnam Service Medals, the Presidential Unit Citation, the Navy Achievement Medal, (3) Good Conduct Medal Awards, the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal, the Republic of Vietnam Meritorius Unit Citation Gallantry Cross. On March 31, 1992 David married his Sweetheart Lucille Rice at the Purcell Courthouse. They made their home in Moore, Ok. David continued his career as the Maintenance Supervisor for Griffin Hospital the next (21) years and after retirement he was employed with Hope Community Services for (3) years before retiring again.
David and Lucille enjoyed RV'ing and spending time at Lake Murray with family and friends. He also enjoyed reading and woodworking. Most importantly David loved his family and loved spending time with them.
He was preceded in death by his Parents and (2) Brothers; Vernon Evans and Ronnie Hartman. Those who survive him include his Wife lucille of the home, (3) Sons; David Jr., Luke and Glenn, (3) Daughters; Debbie Burkhart, Maggie Martin and Benita Koonce and husband Chuck, (2) Brothers; Kenny Hartman and Dewayne Hartman, (1) Sister Connie Kinsey, (16) Grandchildren and numerous Great Grandchildren with other relatives and friends.
