On June 15, 1951, Pat married the love of her life, Harold Gene Wells. Pat and Harold had a beautiful and amazing love story that lasted more than seventy years. They were blessed with five children, and Pat's mission in life was to be the best wife and mother possible. She had a servant's heart and was always putting others before herself. She had a generous spirit and was a giver of her treasures, her advice, and her love. She was an incredible cook and seamstress, loved decorating and loved shopping for bargains. She was loved and respected by everyone who met her.
Pat was raised in the Methodist church and then joined the Baptist church after marrying Harold Gene. She spent the last thirty years attending WoodsEdge Community Church in the Woodlands, listening to her favorite pastor, son Jeff Wells. Pat was an avid, lifelong reader of the Bible. She loved reading books and taking long walks while listening to the birds sing and watching the leaves fall. Her favorite poem was "Trees" by Joyce Kilmer, and she recited it to everyone!
A funeral service honoring Pat's life was held 2 P.M., Saturday, January 8, 2022 at First Baptist Church, Madisonville, Texas. Pastor Jeff Wells & Pastor Rick Minnett officiated the service. A committal service followed in Madisonville Cemetery, Madisonville, Texas.
