Linda Gale Jordan, 71, of Scottsboro, Alabama, passed away Friday, December 31, 2021. She was born in Jersey City, New Jersey to the late, David "Mac" and Joan Hollander Jordan and had lived in the Scottsboro, Alabama area for most of her life, before moving to the North Georgia area a few years ago. She was a Veteran of the United States Air Force, having served during Vietnam and then went on to serve in the Army National Guard. She attended Mountainview church of Christ and retired from T.V.A. as an Assistant Unit Operator in 2005 after more than 35 years of service. Linda could best be described as being, adventurous, very independent, to say the least and a woman who lived with "No Fear" in her life. She was a true animal lover, whether it be cats, dogs, horses or even someone else's pets, she loved them all and children were drawn to her. She was truly an inspiration to her friends and family alike and will be missed by all who knew her.
Survivors include her brothers & sisters-in-law, Richard & (Sue) Jordan and Todd & (Diane) Jordan; sister & brother-in-law, Catherine & (Steve) Cartwright; lifelong friends, Gary and Mavis Cook and numerous extended family & friends.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 6, 2022 in the Chattanooga National Cemetery with Jess Cobb officiating. The family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. on Wednesday and prior to leaving for the cemetery on Thursday morning.
