Cindy L. Matthews, 50, of Greensburg, died Saturday, Jan. 1, 2022, in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg, due to complications of covid-19. She was born March 1, 1971, in Daytona Beach, Fla., a daughter of the late Benjamin D. and Esther M. (Havranek) Ritenour. She attended Word of Life Church, Greensburg, and Arona United Methodist Church. She was a volunteer and leader for Celebrate Recovery at Word of Life Church and Living Hope Outreach, Jeannette. She loved to craft, especially card making and scrapbooking. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Joseph H. Matthews III. She is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Michael D. Matthews; three daughters, Brooklynn Patula (Greg), Autumn Matthews and Michelle Matthews; her siblings, Lisa Wells (Mike), Benjamin Ritenour, Pamela Novelli (Peter), Dwayne Ritenour and Jennifer Weiss; her father-in-law, Joseph H. Matthews II (Jackie); mother-in-law, Sandra Matthews; sisters-in-law, Jennifer Matthews and Melanie Mathews (Ryan); and several nieces and nephews. A memorial for Cindy will take place at a later date. LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME INC., 516 Stanton St., Greensburg, is assisting with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Cindy's name to a charity of one's choice.
