Born in Oakland, CA on June 15, 1970, he lived all over the country including Chicago, IL; Virginia Beach, VA; Nashville, TN; San Diego, CA; Allentown, PA; as well as all over the state of Georgia prior to moving back to Pierce County five years ago. Tony received his Bachelor's degree and his Masters of Education from Western Governors. He taught school at Ruskin Elementary, and was currently teaching at Coastal Pines Technical College as well as VIP Kids (online education).
Tony was an avid reader (Stephen King), movie watcher, and music lover (Barbara Streisand). He enjoyed painting, photography, and writing. Tony was actively involved with The Triangle Group – a recovery group.
He was the son of the late Margaret Kathleen Searson Pearson. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Brenda Tennison.
Survivors include his son, his father, two brothers and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
The family will honor Tony's memory on Saturday, February 15, 2020, at 5:30 pm at The Triangle Group, 309 Howe Street, Waycross, GA 31501. Friends, students, and colleagues are welcome to come share memories of Tony and visit with his family. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital at www.stjude.org. Memorialization will be by cremation.
