Tammy Jo Porter 61, of Indianapolis, passed away December 15, 2021. She was born April 17, 1960 in Big Spring, TX to the late Robert Eliott and Deanna Hites Eliott. Tammy was a graduate of Southport High School, class of 1978 and she was an inventory clerk for FedEx. Tammy loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed riding the motorcycle through the mountains in Gatlinburg, TN and throughout New England and also enjoyed participating in riding for many charitable events to help others.
Tammy leaves behind her loving husband, Steven M. Porter; daughters, Shia Kohrs and Jessica Elliot; sons, Jonathan Elliott (Lindsay) and Matthew Porter; grandchildren, Julian and Easton Elliott and Charlotte and Jackson Kohrs; step-mother, Marry Elliott; sisters, Danielle Hause, Melodie Alexander and Lee Warbinton; and brother, Anthony (Toni) Elliott. Tammy was preceded in death by her brother, John Hause.
A memorial visitation will be held Saturday, January 8, 2022 from 1 pm until the time of service at 3 pm at Shirley Brothers Thompson Road Chapel, 3333 E. Thompson Road, Indianapolis. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
