Mary Catherine Hurn Page, 76, passed away peacefully on December 17, 2021, surrounded by her family after a brief illness.
Mary Catherine was born in Thomasville, Georgia, on October 11, 1945, to W.J. and Mary June Hurn. She was raised in Perry, Florida, and graduated from Taylor County High School in 1963. She received her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from Florida State University. She started her career at Sealey Elementary School in Tallahassee, Florida, where she taught for 38 years. She married her high school sweetheart, Don Page, in 1968, and was a devoted wife and mother to daughter, Danielle, and son, Whitney.
Mary Catherine was a member of the First Baptist Church of Perry, Florida. She was known for her sweet spirit and devotion to her friends. She adored her family and enjoyed spending time with them. She also enjoyed cooking and adding to her many collections.
Mary Catherine was preceded in death by her parents. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband of 53 years, Don Page; sister, Joan Willliams; daughter, Catherine Danielle Page; son, Whitney Barrett Page (Alex); grandchildren, Barrett Page, Banks Page, Wesleigh Kate Page, Randall McGourty, Molli McGourty, and Gage McGourty. She is also survived by many extended family.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, December 21, 2021, at 11:00 am at MeadowWood Memorial Park.
