Born on March 5, 1946 in Olean, N.Y., she was a daughter of Rex W. and Lena "Peg" Landon Farr. She was a 1965 graduate of Otto-Eldred High School and had resided in Indian Creek, Smethport and the Barnum Road before moving into the Jenny L. Manor in Eldred. Linda had been employed in Olean at the Hi-Q Corporation, which later became the Advanced Products Co. for 46 years before her retirement in 2011.
She was a member of the First Church of God and the Eldred United Methodist Church, she enjoyed bowling and had been a member of leagues in Smethport and Olean. She also loved fishing especially with her nieces and nephews. Linda had enjoyed plastic canvas and other crafts. But mostly she enjoyed attending family and church gatherings.
Surviving are one brother, Gary (Dottie) Farr, two sisters, Diane (Carl) Sleight and Cindy (Dan) Manning, all of Eldred, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Warren "Butch" Farr in 1962.
Friends may call at the Eldred United Methodist Church on Tuesday from 11 a.m.. until 1 p.m., at which time the funeral service will be held with the Rev. Ernie Perry, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in the Lamphier Cemetery, Eldred.
