Mrs. Frances Gertrude Rosser, age 88, of Poolville, Texas passed away December 2, 2007, in Plano, Texas. She was born May 3, 1919, in Cleveland, Oklahoma to George and Ruth (Beatty) Dobbs. On October 2, 1935, she married William H. Rosser in Atlanta, Texas.

Mrs. Rosser was an acclaimed artist, who won countless awards for her work. She was an Eastern Star and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. She was also of the Baptist faith.

Mrs. Rosser is survived by her brother, Donald R. Dobbs of San Antonio, Texas; son, William H. Rosser, Jr. of Poolville, Texas; daughter, Ruth Alice Manchester of Wylie, Texas; grandchildren, William H. Rosser, III of Gainesville, Texas, Dana Roveto of Venice, Texas, Richard Rosser of Poolville, Robert Rosser of Venice, John Rosser of Poolville, Tammy Brill of Fairview, Texas, Chris Manchester of Plano, Texas, Fred Manchester, Jr. of Allen, Texas, and Melissa Austin of Wylie; niece, Gale Dobbs (whom she thought of as a daughter); 15 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild; and a host of other loving relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Major William H. Rosser; son, Richard Drew Rosser; brother, Ross Dobbs; and 1 great grandchild.

A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 8, 2007, at Kildare Cemetery in Kildare, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.
