DONALD GEORGE ROGERS Donald George Rogers finished his life race victoriously and passed into eternity on November 22, 2021. Don was born in 1945 in Vinita, OK to the family of Paul and Joan Rogers, and brother Dave. He grew up in El Sobrante, CA, graduating from De Anza High School in 1963. In his early years, Don worked in roofing construction. He had a fondness for Corvettes, and other fast, stylish vehicles. In 1966, he met his lifelong love, Jane. They were married in 1968, and have two sons, Don Jr. and Ryan. Don had vision and natural talent for commercial real estate development. He worked as a broker for Security Pacific Real Estate in Pinole, and set numerous sales milestones through -out the 1970's. In 1983, Don and family relocated to Willows, settled in Chico in 1997, and continued to build into local Nor Cal communities. It was during this time that Don's life was dramatically influenced and transformed by the love of God, found in the Gospel message. He enjoyed talking with people, asking, "How's your walk with Jesus?". He invested in overseas missions and local Christian ministries. He was actively involved with the fellowship at Neighborhood Church of Chico. Some of Don's other interests and passions included tractors, snow mobiles, and overseas travel to visit his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Jane; their sons and spouses, Don Jr. and Heather, Ryan and Rosie; seven granddaughters; his brother Dave and family. A celebration of life service shall be held on Saturday, January 8th at 10 a.m., at the Neighborhood Church of Chico.
